It's 1 Louder is a rock and metal podcast, YouTube channel and merch store run by one fan (that would be me, PJ Pat). Here is the straight talk on how the site makes money.

Amazon links

It's 1 Louder participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and its international stores. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

That means when I link to a record, a book or a piece of gear in a What Rocks post or a video description and you buy it through that link, Amazon pays me a small commission. It costs you nothing extra. The price is the same whether you use my link or not.

What I link and why

I only link to things that fit the story: the album the episode is about, the book I pulled the details from, the guitar or pedal that made the sound. I never pick a product because it pays more. If I would not put it on my own shelf, it does not get a link.

Our own merch

Everything in the It's 1 Louder shop is our own design, sold by us. No affiliate relationship there, just a fan making stuff for other fans.
